Colorado Boulevard. Gorgeous! The sunshine state.

Celebrating the Greatest Street Of Our Time.

Colorado Boulevard from Colfax to Yale. The most hated street in Denver is ugly, smelly and crowded. In the summer, you can see the heat shimmering over the asphalt. Are there too many lights? Yes. Too much traffic? Also yes. Do people treat the left turn arrows as mere suggestions? They do. Is there a golden office building that blinds all drivers during sunset? Inexplicably, yes.

I live and work near CB (may I call it CB?) and I'm on it a lot. I hate it. But, my embarrassing confession is: I also love it. Because Colorado Boulevard has everything. And I mean everything. Grocery stores? At least five. Gas stations? Urgent care? Chinese hot-pot? Every chain restaurant in the world? A store dedicated to selling only hospital scrubs? A pet chiropractor? Watch repair? Tae Bo? TOTAL WINE AND SPIRITS?! All YES! Truly, CB has all the things, from the useful to the mundane, from the quirky to the so-common-you-forgot-it-was-there (guess how many Starbucks there are?). I mean, it used to have Celebrity Sports Center! Colorado Boulevard is truly a marvel of a street.

In order to more fully celebrate CB (and I think we can all agree that CB is rarely, if ever, celebrated), I have created this blog to chronicle the many, many wonders on CB. Read on as I make my way through The Greatest Street of Our Time (too much?). Laugh with me. Cry with me. Maybe vomit with me if I get norovirus from one of the two (!) Chipotles on CB. Let's celebrate all the food, all the stores, all the bizarre and wonderful things. CB 4-eva!
